Expat. Roasters offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to the customers, conditioned upon the customer’s acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
All terms of “them”, “their”, “they”, “you” refer to customers, whilst “our”, “us”, “we” refer to the Expat. Roasters’ Team.
By visiting Expat. Roasters’ website and/or purchasing something from us, customers engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions, including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms & Conditions apply to all customers of the website, including but not limited to customers who are browsers, vendors, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the website, customers agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If customers do not agree to all the Terms & Conditions of this agreement, then customers may not access the website or use any services. If these Terms & Conditions are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms & Conditions.
Customers can review the most current version of the Terms & Conditions at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms & Conditions by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is the customer’s responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Customer’s continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
Expat. Roasters’ website is hosted on Shopify, and functions as an online e-commerce platform that sells products and services to our customers.
Article 1 Website
1.0 By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, customers represent that they are at least 18 years of age. If they are not yet 18 years old, then they will be deemed to have obtained consent from parent or guardian to provide data and to use our services.
1.1 Customers may not use Expat. Roasters’ products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).
1.2 Customers must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature.
1.3 A breach or violation of any of the Terms & Conditions will result in an immediate termination of your Services.
Article 2 Customer Account
2.0 Customers will be required to create an account to make a transaction. When creating an account, customers will be required to fill in a personal information database (refer to clause 2.3 for more). By creating an account, customers agree that the information given is accurate and are up to date. Customers are also responsible for all the activities made in this account.
2.0.1 Personal information we collect: When you visit Expat. Roasters, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the installed cookies on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.” Moreover, we might collect the personal data you provide to us (including but not limited to Name, Surname, Address, contact details, payment information, etc.) during registration to be able to fulfill the agreement.
2.1 Expat. Roasters has the right to terminate customer accounts, if according to Kravewell, the customers commit violations against our Terms & Services.
2.2 Customers are also responsible for the privacy of their account’s password to access Expat. Roasters’ website. If you know your account and password are used illegally and security was compromised, please contact the Expat. Roasters Team directly at email@example.com
2.3.1 We may process only minimal user data, only as much as is absolutely necessary to maintain the website and the running of Expat. Roasters.
2.3.2 You can visit the website without telling us who you are or revealing any information, by which someone could identify you as a specific, identifiable individual. If, however, you wish to make a purchase, or receive our newsletter, or provide other details by filling a form, your personal information will be needed in order for you to enjoy the benefits provided by Expat. Roasters.
2.3.3 Legal disclosure: We will disclose any information we collect, use or receive only if required or permitted by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, and when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
Article 3 Purchase Orders
3.0 The availability and details of all products that are stated across the Expat. Roasters platform are subject to change over time without prior notice. It is the customer’s responsibility to take note of the details with regards to any product of interest before following through with an order.
3.1 Each customer is required to complete their payment in full for every order placed.
3.2 Customers have the right to receive the items according to what was ordered and paid for in advance at the time of checkout.
3.3 Modification by notice: Customers are allowed to modify their orders within 24 hours after placing an order.
3.3.1 Customers will be required to contact Expat. Roasters via WhatsApp or Email with the following information:
(a) Invoice Number
(b) Full Name
(c) Contact Details
(d) Product Detail (Code, Quantity, Size). Alternatively, customers may notify intent of modification via Email following the link provided in the Order Confirmation email sent to their Inbox.
3.3.2 Customers will then receive a confirmation of their modification request from Expat. Roasters to indicate that their request has been noted in the system.
3.4 Expat. Roasters conducts a tight screening process to ensure that the products that are supplied meet the Acceptance Criteria set by the Expat. Roasters team. Customers must take into consideration that the effects of a product may be different for different people depending on factors such as (but not limited to) age, lifestyle, genetics, and pre-existing medical conditions and history. With that said, Expat. Roasters will not take responsibility for the side effects that customers might experience if any complications arise. It is expected that customers will have already reviewed the details of their chosen product as stated by Expat. Roasters, and have acted based on their best judgment with regards to their compatibility with the chosen products when placing an order.
3.5 Cancellation: All transactions that have been paid for cannot be cancelled.
3.6 Exchange: Customers may request an exchange of the same product by contacting Expat. Roasters via Email/WhatsApp with the following information:
(a) Invoice Number
(b) Full Name
(c) Contact Details
(d) Reason for Exchange
(e) Proof of Reason
3.6.1 The conditions for such a request to be granted are as follows:
(a) The item sent does not align with what is promised by Expat. Roasters
(b) The item is damaged.
(c) The item must be untampered with.
(d) The item is not a consumable product.
In such a case, Expat. Roasters will proceed to process the exchange.
3.6.2 Once the package is received, the product will be analyzed by Expat. Roasters for consideration before confirming the customer’s eligibility for an exchange process.
3.6.3 In the case that an exchange is granted, the cost of delivery will be handled by Expat. Roasters.
3.6.4 Expat. Roasters has the right to reject exchange requests that do not meet any conditions stated under subclause 3.6.1.
3.7 Refunds of products are not allowed. Customers will only be able to exchange products when conditions meet the requirements under subclause 3.6.1. Therefore, the customers are allowed to request a refund and complain within 2x24 hours.
3.8.1 Duration plan: The available choices for Expat. Roasters’ subscription plans are: 1 week, 2 weeks, and multiple.
3.8.2 Frequency interval: Whichever duration plan you choose, you have the freedom to decide the intervals for your subscription package to be sent: weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
3.8.3 Payment: Customers are required to pay their chosen subscription plan in advance.
3.8.4 Cancellation: If customers wish to stop subscribing to our plan, customers must contact the Expat. Roasters team via Email/WhatsApp. The condition for cancellation is as follows:
Customers may only cancel their subscription when they are half way through with their chosen subscription plan, and a cancellation fee of 25% from your chosen subscription plan will be imposed.
Refunds will be in the form of store credit which can be used for any Expat. Roasters related purchase in the future.
3.8.5 Modification: If customers wish to modify their plan, customers must notify the Expat. Roasters team via Email/WhatsApp for assistance.
Article 4 Pricing
4.0 Prices stated in the website are fixed price and non-negotiable.
4.1 With transactions made through the website, customers agree to pay the products with the price stated in the checkout page which includes product price, delivery fee, and other costs.
4.2 By choosing a payment method that involves a financial institution (e.g. bank transfer, credit card, e-money, etc), customers agree to give Expat. Roasters consent to share your personal information to the financial institution involved in order to process and complete the transaction.
4.3 This website currently serves transactions in Indonesian Rupiah (Rp) for Indonesia Shop and Australian Dollar (AUD) for Australia Shop.
Article 5 Transactions & Payment
5.0 The payment methods that Expat. Roasters accepted by Bank transfers, E-money and Direct Debit.
5.1 Stock(s) for product items are not reserved until and unless payment for those orders are paid in full by the customer and confirmed by Expat. Roasters.
5.2 By making a transaction, customers agree to the accuracy of their billing and account information.
5.2.1 Customers agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store.
5.2.2 Customers agree to promptly update their account and other information, including their shipping address, email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete their transactions and contact them as needed.
Article 6 Delivery
6.0 Confirmation: Deliveries will be conducted after orders are processed and payment is confirmed.
6.0.1 Customers will receive an email notification that will state their order confirmation along with an estimated delivery time frame and delivery tracking number.
6.1 Duration: Allow for 1-3 working days for order processing. Delivery time will be processed every Tuesday and differ depending on the appointed location for that order.
6.2 Location: Deliveries are limited to areas that are within the range of the appointed expeditionary service.
6.2.1 The expeditionary service that Expat. Roasters uses are:
(a) JNE (for Indonesia)
(b) Grab / Go-send instant & same day for Bali area
(c) Australian Post (for Australia)
(d) Shippit (for Australia)
(e) DHL (for international)
6.3 Fee: The cost of delivery is dependent on the location appointed for that order which is to be handled by the customer except in the case of an exchange request that meets the conditions stated under subclause 3.6.1.
6.4 In the case where deliveries do not arrive within the estimated timeframe given to the customer, do reach out to Expat. Roasters via Email/WhatsApp for assistance.
5 International Shipping: for international customers - as the recipient, you are liable to pay for all import duty charges, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping into.
Article 7 Referral Code
7.0 Customers are granted an alphanumeric referral code when signing up for a membership with Expat. Roasters. When a new customer signs up with Expat. Roasters, a 10% discount will be given to the referral which is to be used in their next purchase order with an expiry date of 1 month.
7.1 Referral codes are non-renewable and non-transferrable to other customers.

8.1 Contact hours are available from Mondays to Friday from 09.00 to 17.00 (WITA). Any queries sent outside of operating hours or on public holidays will be responded to on the following working day.

9.0 Certain content, products and services available via our Service may include materials from third-parties.
9.1 Certain third-party services providers, such as but not limited to financial institutions and payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies regarding the information we are required to provide them for customer’s purchase-related transactions. Expat. Roasters recommends that customers read their Terms & Conditions regarding the information Expat. Roasters is required to provide them for customer’s purchase-related transactions.
9.2 Third-party links on this site may direct you to third-party websites that are not affiliated with Expat. Roasters. Expat. Roasters is not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy and Expat. Roasters does not warrant and will not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites, or for any other materials, products, or services of third-parties.
9.3 Once customers leave Expat. Roasters’ website or are redirected to a third-party website, customers are no longer governed by Expat. Roasters’ Terms and Conditions.
Article 10 Prohibited Use
10.0 Customers are prohibited from using the site or its content:
10.0.1 for any unlawful purpose
10.0.2 to solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts
10.0.3 to violate any international, federal, provincial or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances
10.0.4 to infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others
10.0.5 to harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability
10.0.6 to submit false or misleading information
10.0.7 to upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code that will or may be used in any way that will affect the functionality or operation of the Service or of any related website, other websites, or the Internet
10.0.8 to collect or track the personal information of others
10.0.9 to spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape
10.0.10 for any obscene or immoral purpose

11.0 Expat. Roasters will have the right to edit or remove content that we determine in our sole discretion are unlawful, offensive, racist, threatening, libellous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable or violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms & Conditions.
11.1 Customers agree that their comments will not violate any right of any third-party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, personality, or other personal or proprietary rights. Customers further agree that their comments will not contain libellous or otherwise unlawful, abusive, or obscene material, or contain any computer virus or other malware that could in any way affect the operation of the Service or any related website. Customers may not use a false e-mail address, pretend to be someone other than themselves, or otherwise mislead us or third-parties as to the origin of any comments. Customers are solely responsible for any comments you make and their accuracy. We take no responsibility and assume no liability for any comments posted by customers or any third-party.
